Well looking forward to this fight, am suprised at froch's odds think he may win this fight but it will be a very dificult one, however i think the way dirrell exposed abraham might have done alot of damage to abraham's confidence and he might be there for the taking. Unlike Abraham Froch believes he should not have lost his unbeaten record and is still the best out there. You have to love this sport though eh, when haye v harrison was announced i thought what a waste of time but as the fight got nearer i thought wait a minute this is going to be a good fight and even considered backing Harrison(slapped Wrist) and then paid my £15 got some mates round and watched exactly what i first thought would happen!!! Only silver lining was we stayed up to watch pacman(for free) and i honestly believe he is the best boxer ever, even if he does face Mayweather and losses he is a legend, his speed and power along with his 3 stone weight increase just defies belief and i am yet to be dissapointed with one of his fights the guy is possibly the best boxer to have ever lived and i for one hope he does get to have a go at mayweather the best defensive boxer of our time but also at times a bit boring to watch. Hope Froch does win anyway.
Froch wont learn much from this fight. He's always the same, fights the same. his limitations are his motor skills, speed etc. Those things can't be gotten around. I doubt he could have fought better than he did. But, anyway, Abraham will possibly end his career I think.
BTW what odds were the books offering on Kessler? I think it's time I grew up and started gambling.
Froch seems to have grown up a bit Abraham was shown up big style last night. super 6 just got more interesting.
What an enjoyable fight that was. Froch seems to be getting better. Be great to see him have another crack at Ward even if it is unlikely he could win. What do you reckon the odds would be if the fight got scheduled for five months time and the prices went up tomorrow, maybe 1/3 , 3/1 ?
I think that would be about right pricing Eddie but I have seen some strange odds on the boxing recently and would not be suprised to se Froch go off atround 2/1, I dont think this is the right price I can just see the bookies taking advantage of the patriot bet!
Incidentally I saw an interview with Froch today and it appears he does not want any part of Ward, he was basically saying he finds it tough fighting slick boxers and wants to fight brawler/warriors in the guise of Kessler. Also his stance that the fight must happen in UK is strange as although he has the titles Ward is widely regarded as the number 2 p4p in the world so in my view is holding all the cards.
Another good row has been announced today - Mayweather v Canelo at catchweight. This will be huge and a win will surely cement Mayweathers status as greatest of all time!
Would be a real shame if Ward and Froch don't fight each other again soon. Ward may be a class apart but Froch seems to be considered as a better fighter now than he was when he lost a couple of years back. Every other fight just seems like a sideways move. If you don't take your chance at greatness then what are you? It's such an annoying part of the sport that these fights are not made to happen.
Cheers for the heads up on Alvarez, Tebs. Like to see Mayweather get hit hard a few times
