I have placed the following antepost bets:
Brazil: 3 units to win at 6.0. They look the obvious winners given the stats in my above post and they have an excellent squad with a good tough manager.
Italy: 0.5 units to win at 18. They have the best manager in the tournament and have a very experienced squad and a great tournament mentality. The only things that puts me off is the fact that they have not won outside of Europe, but at this price are huge value.
Germany: 0.5 units to win at 16. Similar reasons as above. These are the only three teams that can win as Argentina will not be able to do it with Maradona in charge.
France: 2 unit lay at 1.49 to qualify from group A. This price is huge value as France have a mental coach and really struggled in qualifying. Mexico and Uruguay are decent teams who are both in the top 15 of the Elo rankings with Mexico being higher ranked than France. South Africa while being an average team, at best, are still the hosts and a host team has never failed to get to the knock-out stages. I have priced France up at around 1.90 here so snapped this lay up.
South Korea: 1 unit to qualify from group B at 3.50. This price is very surprising as they are at least as good as Nigeria and Greece neither of whom are anything to write home about. They are actually higher in the elo rankings than both, but their price is curiously much larger.
Brazil: 2 units to beat Spain in tournament match bet at 2.22. As you may have guessed I am keen on Brazil so this is a definite bet. As well as all the above stated reasons Spain have a run to the final that could include Portugal, Italy and Germany/ Argentina and Brazil's is much easier with Chile, Holland and Mexico/ England on the cards. Brazil should be hefty favourites in this market so having a decent bet.
Also having a bet on Mexico for one unit at 2.80 to beat South Africa in the opening game which looks like a big price. Good luck everyone.
