Well this little experiment has turned out to be a right bag of balls.

Today's donkey's really excelled themselves. The 2.25 came 4th and the one in the 3.35 is probably still running. I hope nobody else had anything on them.

Here endeth the exercise and it's a good example of what a bloody mugs game this lark is all about, so-called tipsters who talk the talk but cannot deliver anything consistent in one of the strangest sports in the world when it comes to mug betting.

Five selections is hardly a fair sample size to determine the worth of any area of betting or any horse racing service. Horse racing is highly volatile and runs of twenty plus losers, when backing decent prices, are not uncommon. It is also highly vulnerable to changing conditions. Bad weather can change the going which can cause even a raft of profitable services to have nightmare months. Any service or method needs to be judged for profitability on a yearly basis due to the volatility. It is not uncommon to have five or six losing months, some quite heavy, and still show very good profits at the end of the year.

Horse racing is one of the best areas of AP there is in terms of profit for people who can consistently find value prices.

TV is totally right, you should never give up so quickly. Saying that, I suspect there was some lack of confidence in the picks from the start. The thread title and donkey pics didn't help
