major on course bookmakers have little or no interest in the minor tipping lines. obviously they do take an interest in any sources of information providing an accurate reflection of which way the market will move.

in the days when i worked on course in the 80's the markets in the north were moved by companies such as ladbrokes and hills, and by individuals like terry ramsden, michael geraghty, phil bull, chris spence, etc.

obviously in the 90's you had the emergence of tipping services such as the winning line, isiris, pricewise etc that were capable of making prices shorten markedly.

i am not lumping danny sullivan in with any of them, at the same time the bloke has been trading under that name from the same office since at least 2005. in my experience people do not operate for 6 years without making money. if he is making a living from it then even if he is a conman he is a successful one.

he clearly has access to the database of a reasonable size bookmaker given the number of people he has sent letters to. access to that you would have to assume has cost him. which again suggests he is getting sufficent response to make it worthwhile. certainly to anyone unfamiliar with racing he comes across as very plausible and some of his crack is clever ( the stuff about withdrawing a horse because info was leaked is going to lead some of the gullible into thinking they are part of some secret plot which is what they want to hear, as was the stuff yesterday about going straight from the newmarket gallops to stansted to fly to cork for todays huge gamble and to watch his own horse run at dundalk friday ) and will win people over who dont realise its the same crack he has been using year after year.

as i've said he appears to be on a bit of a roll at present and it's possible his followers are responsible for shortening the price of his selections. alternatively he may have access to some inside information. or more likely he may just have luck on his side. his recent selections have gone :

4/1 into 3/1
7/1 into 7/2
3/1 into 9/4
4/1 into 10/3

so clearly somebody is backing them.

anyhow, like i said , i was by no means plugging the service, simply giving some feedback to the curious as to what he had been tipping. in any event today is the last day of the trial and there are no bets unless you are prepared to sign up for full membership to get given the horse at cork he has been plugging all week. obviously i will not be signing up, but i reckon a fair few will.

despite the free trial being over, he has sent me a text advising a maximum ew bet on falcon island in the 2.10 at stratford. really cant see an upside to backing a horse e.w. at 100/30 in a novice hurdle.

as its only the second advice in the last 6 days, the other one won, and it looks apoor race i've had a small investment.

wish i'd had more on. hard to go overboard on a horse thats gone 10 runs without winning.

could be named the winner a long way out, and was trading at 1.5 while they were still in the back straight.

Hi my 1st post
I had been searching for information on DS and most of it on the internet was old until I came accross this site I can also vouch that having subscribed to the recent trial I did make money .he does make a big fuss about the late line and for what it is worth claims to be £3000 up this month with another winner last night to £100 stakes. Just had a text with offer of membership at £200 I assume a month which I will sit on and see what what else comes along

I think this has now just turned into advertising a tipster service. I dont have anything against that excpet it is a little bit insulting to think we dont know that is what it is.

I personally would not "sit on it" but tell him to "Go (Wayne Rooney) himself" which I used to send back to similar text messages and was always upset they bounced back so now just ignore them 100%.

If it is a +EV system, good for him and good for you, he can post his selections here for 3 months for free then if he wants. If it is a profit everyones a winner and people may join, if they are a Net loss then not suprisingly nobody will join which is good because he is not as good at guessing as he claims. Thats the deal. Any other form of promotion/shilling will just be deleted from now on thanks.

wow, great website this. you take the time and trouble to register and give some honest feedback, and because it isnt 100% what the moderator wants to hear, they accuse you of being in cahoots with the bloke everyone was previously happy to call a conman. not only that, they threaten to delete any further posts you make.

for the record andy, my grandfather was johnny ridley, now deceased, and my uncle is john ridley, who currently runs the firm. i am not, and never have been, an associate, representative, advocate, or employee of danny/daniel sullivan, and to my knowledge have never even met the bloke.

Nobody said "your" posts would be deleted. In fact it is fantasticly rare for a post to be deleted for anything. You can post anything you want on any other thread in the forum. It was posts in this thread (and by anybody) subtly mentioning how good the service might be which we dont need any more of we get the idea now thanks.
