Does that mean they’ve improved?
They’ve added solid players, but lost experience. Martin Jol is a smart cookie (and good value in interviews as well) so if he can get the new players dancing the loss of Murphy to Blackburn of all places shouldn’t be felt too hard.
Certainly last year their midfield, chocked full of attacking thinkers, was the highlight of the squad and they added to that in the window. Rodallega is hardly prolific (2 goals for Wigan last year) but he has a good work rate which will get him games.
The question, that is making Fulham fans pray for the end of the window, is whether Dempsey will stay on for another year to add to the 23 goals he netted last term. If he does then Fulham will be in and around the top half. If he goes then Fulham will have lost their heart beat. We’re not doctors but last we checked that was considered a dangerous situation.
Where will they finish this year – 10th
Or there abouts, this isn’t an exact science you know. There a nice club and it’d be good to see them do well, but it’s doubtful European football will be garnered through a league position so it’s cups where Fulham will hope to make some waves.
Player worth watching
The Belgium midfielder Dembele is well worth a look (as Real Madrid are apparently doing as well at the moment). Not many goals thus far for Fulham, although he got his share for previous club AZ, but he’s a very useful player:

Who would they want back?
Well judging by the statue at Craven Cottage they want Michael Jackson to come back from the grave.
