Once upon a time we ran a Scoop6 and actually won it, which was quite nice. There is a nice summary of what happened Here. It was a bit of a freak happening though there is a lot lot more luck than skill in it and it should be seen as not much different from playing the National Lottery. Even if you only play after many many rollovers so the prize pool becomes greater than your chance of winning that might make it +EV but it does not actually increase the chance of winning.
It can become a very expensive habit though as winnings are large but also rare so each "go" will be limited to one £10 entry per person. As last week showed, it can be akin to burning notes in the street and losing more than a tenner is not fun. If anyone wants to place more there is nothing to stop them placing bets on it themselves.
If anyone would like to join please send £10 to email@example.com as this will buy one ticket. Please include your TGT Username in the message option/field and what it is for as this makes it easier to update the thread with who is in and is in effect your "receipt" should we win it. ONE entry per person max.
If all entries could be in by Friday evening next week please (18th April) midnight then is the cut off date to enter. That is so I know for sure just before going to bed how many tickets we need the next day. I will purchase the remaining number of tickets needed to make it a round number in the stake amount so we use the lot in one go. If necessary the stake will be split into two tickets.
The bet will be placed at wherever I (Andrew Heaford) thinks best on the day of the race and a photo of the slip or screenshot shall be uploaded here that morning. The Horses shall be decided by a mixture of suggestions from people on this thread, outside sources and my final decision.
Should we win anything all winnings will be paid within 7 days of myself receiving it back from the bookmaker. All winnings will be paid back to the Skrill account used to buy your entry. If you are a TGT Premium Member there will be no admin fee at any stage, if you were not at the time you entered there shall be a 5% fee deducted from your winnings.
Any questions please ask here, but as a rule it will be done in the same manner/format as the other ones I have organised. There is no need to say on here you have entered, you can just do it. This post will be updated periodically with who has entered so you know it has been received and you are in.
So that is £450 float then, same as last week will use it all / slightly over to get a round amount, I will take the extra tickets. (Which is also cover if somehow I miss counted (not likely though))
