Roddick through as well, nice one. Only Bish left to chose, I will PM him again.

He can pick any two Quarter Final matches he wants.

Did OK here despite Safina winning. Mauresmo was a massive fav twice during the match (beginning of 2nd & 3rd sets) & I closed out @ 1.25 (thankfully!)

I'll oppose Safina some more if the odds look good in the next round

I am not sure where Bish has gone, if he posts selections before the Quarter finals we go with those as a final two bets, I think we are "up" overall from it regardless and also had enough bets over 1.5 to clear the wagering at £10 level stakes.

Apologies for butting in on this thread again, it seems to be the most appropriate one to discuss Wimbledon though?

I didn't bet Safina in the QF which was a shame because she lost the first set once again & I could have closed out nicely. She'll be the outsider in her semi but if by any chance she sneaks a lead I'll definitely oppose her (I would rate her as a large outsider even if she won the first set).

I think today's most interesting betting medium is Roddick vs Hewitt. I fancy Hewitt fairly strongly - however - I won't back him before the match starts & here's why. IMO players with a huge serve (Roddick) invariably start strongly & often breeze through the first set. However the good returners/rallyers (Hewitt) tend to improve as the game goes on & they begin to read the big serve better & better.

So I'm predicting/hoping that Roddick will win the first set & if he does I'll back Hewitt at that point. If Roddick goes 2-0 I'd back Hewitt some more Then wait for the comeback.

I will now sit back & await the embarrassment of having made a prediction that turns out to be utter cobblers.

My balance is now £70.88 after flat betting the selections at £10 (missed one though) and its all withdrawable as mine had no bonus but with the £20 bonus it still would be enough were odds over 1.5 to qualify.

Nothing like as many people followed as i thought would, I think most got bored waiting and/or just bust it out to betfair for an anyway result which really is not as much fun but cest la vie.

Those that took part with tips here can now have a more exciting finish by lumping the lot (your balance whatever that it up to £70.88) on Murray to win the thing Outright. If it loses the £70.88 will be refunded to your Moneybookers account by us.

Thanks Andy.

The market isn't there at Bet24 at the minute (think because Roddic/Hewitt match ongoing) but looking around reckon we might be able to get 3.0 for it which would be a nice pay day if Mr Murray can do the business!

Just been on Bet24 and the market still isn't there for Murray to win overall. Do we think that it will come up or could it be too late in the tournament for them? If that is the case and we can't place at B24, could we maybe place elsewhere for better odds or to help with a WR and then take those screen snaps?

The Bet must be at Bet24, the outright market is still not there now, so stick the balance on Murray to win tomorrow. Then after that we stick that new balance on him to win in the final. Will get it on that way then.

Refund is still capped though, so even though the last bet at the final (should it get there ) may be higher, it is the original stake amount that will be refunded.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for yet another generous offer! Because I wasn't taking part in the challenge as such I wasn't betting at Bet24 so I don't currently have any balance there. Does that rule me out or should I deposit something there & put it on Murray?

cheers
Fella

Sorry for the late reply but if you are not "in" at Bet24 at all, you cant really.

As a substitute though you can have £25 on him to win each match which will be refunded (max refund £25) and you can place it anywhere you want to.

I never expected him to win although i am dissapointed he didnt make the final which was the idea, to have an interest there.

With hindsight should have backed Fed, but thats hindsight, and I always feel a bit dirty backing the Favourite. Please send in screenshots to promotions@thegamblingtimes.com

Thanks
