I have been experimenting with a new system, I have paper traded it for the first month which increased by bank by 150% (from £100 starting to £250 finishing) in March.
I have now stuck £100 into betfair and going to do it properly (well, I started it doing it 3 days ago, 3 wins, 1 loss).
My staking plan is simple, bet 10% of the bank each bet. I am still fiddling around with how I maximise my bets, so I am going to bet 10% on place market if odds are 1.5 or higher. If the odds are below 1.5, then I bet 5% on the horse for a straight win, IF its a clear favourite.
Just to make it clear from the start, this is experimental and I am just using this forum so you can all see how it progresses!
Longest winning run - 8
Longest losing run - 1
Highest odds when a horse has won - Place 3.15, Win 9
I will denote each horse as a strength rating, based on how well it has scored in my system. The strongest will be strength A, and not so strong, but a decent contender as strength B.
The system does not pick out very high odd winners, but its not that I was looking for, I'm aiming more for consistency. So, knowing my luck, from now on it will plummet! So touch wood!
My pick for 1st April:
3.50 Wetherby - Wooden Spoon - Strength B
