Sunday's six-pack
These six celebrities all have a different form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.........just thought you'd like to know.
-- Charlize Theron-- Cannot stand messy cabinets. Just one more of the 1,000s of reasons why we'll never hook up.
-- Howie Mandel-- Germs. This is why he fist-bumped guests when he hosted Deal or No Deal; can't stand shaking hands with people.
-- Leonardo DiCaprio-- Sidewalks. The man can't deal with sidewalks.
-- Cameron Diaz-- Doorknobs. I'm sure there would be a long line of volunteers to follow her around and open doors for her.
-- Jessica Alba-- Perfectionism. Supposedly, lot of actors possess this trait-- it actually makes them better at their craft.
-- Megan Fox-- Restaurant silverware. Insert your own joke here.

Sunday's List of 13: Wrapping up a spring Saturday......

13) Nice gutty effort by Orlando Magic, getting pasted by 23 in Boston; their starters shot 34.7% from floor. After going 8-0 in first two rounds of the playoffs, Magic have quickly jumped in the tank. Should have known any team with Vince Carter as one of its stars and Patrick Ewing as one of the assistant coaches wasn't winning a championship.
12) FOX has a three-hour window every Saturday where no other games can be shown on TV; it is unfathomable that the $179 I shell out for the Extra Innings package doesn't trump this goofy rule, but it doesn't, so on a night where Matsuzaka was tossing a no-hitter in Philly, I was stuck with the hideous Subway Series. MLB, as usual, just doesn't get it.
11) The Hanley Ramirez debacle is now history for the Marlins, but one thing it did was spotlight how lucky some teams are that their best player is coachable. Tim Duncan/Tom Brady come to mind.........
10) Target Field is a pitchers' park, for sure; Denard Span crushed a ball to rightfield in bottom of 9th that would've won the game if it fell for hit-- Span jogged to first with his hand in the air, assuming it was a home run, but it was caught on the warning track. Whoops.
9) In that same game, Corey Hart made a brilliant catch, crashing into the rightfield wall to end a Minnesota rally in extra innings. Despite tying the game with five in the 9th and despite Hart's catch, Milwaukee lost again, and it won't be long before Ken Macha is canned. Brewers have talent, but show no signs of it once the games start.
8) Saturday was first time Phil Hughes batted in a game since he was in high school seven years ago. He got a bunt down and wasn't overmatched at the plate.
7) How did Homer Bailey and Grant Balfour become pitchers?
6) Scary moment in LA, with Austin Jackson getting drilled in the head by a pitched ball. Supposedly, he's OK, but you look at David Wright's struggles this year- you wonder if they're related to his beaning last year.
5) Two inside-the-park home runs in Washington DC this week, first time since '03 that there were two inside-the-park HRs in same ballpark in the same week. Terrible play by Morgan yesterday, slamming his glove to the ground because he thought Adam Jones' drive went over fence. Fact is, it landed on the warning track, but Jones got a home run anyway, circling the bases as Morgan fumed, LF Willingham tracked the ball down in CF.
4) Hey, only 10 weeks until the next Boston-Bronx Bomber game.
3) Roy Oswalt asked to be traded from Astros because he doesn't think Houston will contend during the remainder of his career. Doesn't help the Astros' leverage any that this became public, but it did.
2) Gio Gonzalez is on a roll. We're going to look into Gio's career a little in depth later on; the lefty blanked the Giants for eight innings Saturday, is now 5-3 with an ERA of 3.46. Talented kid, but he's 24 and has already been traded three times, twice by the White Sox. What exactly were they thinking?
1) World Series of Poker starts at the Rio Thursday; it ends July 17.
I will be out of town, back and forth for the most part until that time as well.
So the Spooky Express will be at the station for a few weeks in and around.
Thanks for all the support and keep on sending over those referrals.
