Day 4 - New territory as I go into day 4 with a run of three under the belt.
I am going for a bold bet today and am thinking the Padres look good at +198to beat San Fransisco by 2 or more. This should be a low scoring game with a wildcard place likely to be up for grabs for one of these and San Diego now recovering from 9 or 10 losses in a row over the past two weeks.
San Diego (-1.5) v San Fransisco @ +198
Bet $106.25 to win $210.38
A win here will take me to $316 and allow me to either get to my grand in six days with two further -125 bets or three -150 bets.
Overall record to date (all outsiders or evens bets so far): Wins 5 & Losses 3

Great work mate, good luck with tonights!!

OK so after a ten week break and the settling down of the NBA season I am back for another go:
The aim - $10 start and then 7 winning bets of $10 plus winnings on odds of around evens to reach $1000 by the close on Sunday.
Bet 1 (Tuesday) - NY Knicks +8 @ -102 @ Denver Nuggets (bet $10 to win $9.80)
Why - Nuggets are a good team but are played on Monday and the Knicks have a very good record of capitalising on this (they pounded Chicago a couple of weeks ago despite being long outsiders). Knicks are +335 to win this outright and outside of this challenge, I have a few $ on this outcome too.

I think you got your days mixed up - The Knicks lost on my bet but then came back and won the next day!

Round two for NBA as my first bet last week lost.
Bet 1: Charlotte Bobcats to beat NY Knicks +120 - bet $10 to win $22
Whilst I am happy to back the Knicks on the road as I did unsuccessfully last week they have a woeful record at the Garden with 1 win from 5 and have just returned from a long trip to the West coast.
Charlotte are underrated and will follow up their excellent weekend win v Phoenix with another in NY (provided Michael Jordan again isn't courtside)

Round three for NBA as my first bet last week lost.
Bet 1: NO Hornets to beat OC Thunder +140 (@ OC) - bet $10 to win $24
My NBA record speaks for itself at 0-2. I have gone for the Hornets tonight as they are on the slide but due a turnaround in fortunes. Oklahoma are also a good side but seem to be playing better on the road.
If this one loses I will be placing a couple of grand one the opposite result that I chose for bet 1 next week!
