Manchester City completed the first domestic treble in English football history as they added the FA Cup to the Premier League and League Cup successes.
City swept Watford aside at Wembley with the biggest win in a final since 1903, as they clinched a 6-0 triumph with Raheem Sterling grabbing only the fourth hat-trick in cup final history and the first since Blackpool’s Stan Mortenson in 1953.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said: “It was an incredible final for us and we have finished an incredible year.
“To all the people at the club, a big congratulations, especially the players because they are the reason why we have won these titles.”
Bookmakers are already listed City at just 50/1 to repeat the feat next season, whilst they are 250/1 to also add the Champions League and seal the Quadruple.
A Premier League hat-trick next season is already odds-on with BoyleSports who rate City as 4/6 shots to successfully defend the trophy, while Liverpool are 11/4 second favourites in their bid to win what would be their first league title in 30 years next season.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Manchester City have been absolutely superb this season with punters already requesting a price for the domestic treble to be completed again next season, with BoyleSports quoting 50/1. We have also received interest in the quadruple and that is available at a massive 250/1”
