TGT March Newsletter
Hello and welcome to the March edition of the TGT newsletter. In this email, there’s a brief news round-up, some TGT ratings changes to tell you about, poker and trading talk as well as an invitation to enter a £100 free bet competition!
RATINGS AND NEWS ROUND-UP
Since our last email there are two more sites reviewed which have cashback available, Titanbet and BetPhoenix have entered the TGT ratings at 7* and 8* repectively. Sites which have just been reviewed and entered now include Redbet, AdmiralBet and several others but none of these offer bonuses at this time.
- Stryyke (previously 7*) was downgraded to 5*in January.
- Bet911 (7*): Over the past week, the Costa Rican bookmaker has been the subject of some negative reports on TGT relating to poor customer service and the use of non-standard terms. Bet911 has a Company Rep on TGT’s forums so we hope to see these issues addressed on the forum.
- Betfair (10*) : Since many TGT members participate in the regular horse racing offers from Betfair, be aware that the minimum lay liability for SP betting is £10. It is in the main rules on their site but may not be widely known which could cause a problem. Thanks to ‘dipsomaniac’ for pointing this out.
- Betsson (6*): For those of you using Betsson for Casino bonuses, Black Jack has just been added to the list of games ‘not considered in bonus wagering requirements.’
- Bookmaker (8*): After acquiring the LasPalmas and BetCanadian brands a couple of months ago, Bookmaker recently announced their takeover of GamblersPalace to add to their stable.
- Chanceroom (unrated): On 11th February, Maltese based bookmaker Chanceroom emailed customers with news that they had ceased their Sportsbook operation. Yesterday (4th March), they informed customers that they were also ceasing poker and casino operations.
- Ladbrokes (10*): ‘Neteller and Moneybookers deposits have a turnover requirement of 20 times in order to qualify for a bonus’ is a new term added for those doing Casino bonuses. The development is being discussed here:
- Pinnacle Sports (9*): On 25th February, Pinnacle Sports became a ‘one set complete’ bookmaker. For those currently betting tennis at any US-facing books which use Pinnacle’s previous rules (2 sets complete), it may be worth keeping an eye out for a similar change if concerned about rules differences.
TGT EXCLUSIVES
Competition time: £100 free bet up for grabs! With around two months to go until the Premier League is decided, we are running a free-to-enter ‘Final Positions’ competition for our Premium members.
Entries must be submitted by 23.59 (11.59pm) on Friday 12th March, full details can be found here:
Debate: We’re asking for your views on ‘limiting players during rollovers’ – Has it ever happened to you? Perhaps you think bookmakers should be able to limit as they please during rollovers? Perhaps you think such behaviour is unfair and a delibrate "tactic", or perhaps your views sit somewhere in the middle? Our favourite post within the thread will receive a £10 no-loss free bet so let us know your view here:
Star Posts: A special mention for TGT users ‘11gaz11’, ‘1mstgt’, ‘howardmarks7’ and ‘Cloverleaves’ who were all awarded with a ‘Star Post’ £10 free bet during February. Remember, this general TGT forum feature is ongoing and the TGT mods are always on the lookout for some great posts.
TGT POKER ZONE
On 26th February, 17 of TGT’s finest purveyors of dead-pan facial expressions gathered for a $10 re-buy event on Chilipoker with the folks at Chili adding an additional $75 into the pot. ‘Aunty_Fanny’, a new face at TGT, was incredibly unlucky not to make the money. In the end, "Andy" took 3rd, ‘howardmarks7’ finished 2nd and ‘musicbox’ won his first TGT tournament.
In last night’s game, Chilipoker added $75 again and we saw some more new faces in attendance at the tables. ‘Mirage’ finished 3rd but more importantly won a TGT mug for hitting quads, "Andy" improved on last week’s performance by finishing 2nd and our congratulations go to the man we like to call ‘Burge’ for taking home the top $117 prize.
We have a couple more poker events lined up at Chilipoker for those of you who enjoy these get-togethers, so come join us on Thursday 11th March and Thursday 18th March @ 8pm. Full details will be posted in the poker section nearer the time so keep your eye out for that. Better still, if you’re not already on the poker mailing list (which keeps you informed of passwords and tournaments) then simply PM any moderator and that will be sorted out.
TGT TRADER ZONE
Thanks to TGT member ‘frankbutcher’, there was a nice thread created for people to post up their trading exploits for the England game on Wednesday night. We thought this was a great idea so, for anyone looking to trade on either of the live FA Cup fixtures on ITV this Sunday (Reading v Aston Villa and Chelsea v Stoke), we invite you post up your strategies and results in this thread:
http://www.thegamblingtimes.com/board/tgt-trading-forum/6439-fa-cup-sunday-trading-thread.html
Keep an eye out in that section for further threads this month covering other sports including cricket, F1, and golf.
GOODBYE
Thanks for reading this month’s email and for your continued use of the TGT website. If there’s anything you would like to see covered in these newsletters or if you have an idea for next month’s debate for example, pm ‘musicbox’ and let him know. If you would like to unsubscribe from receiving them simply reply to this E-mail with STOP in the subject line.
Good luck with your bets!
