Whilst we aim to keep the reviews up to date in a constantly changing environment that is not always possible. This is especially true of bonus and freebet information which MUST be checked on the Gambling sites themselves for exact T&Cs. Paddypower is one of the best sportsbooks you will find online. They have excellent customer support with a dedicated help centre, free phone number and 24hr E-mail support. Plus if you need to call them you get to speak to a nice Irish person. They have very frequent cash back promotions which are well worth taking part in as well as Horse Racing Best Odds Guaranteed. They are better than other sites due to the Novelty/Special bets they offer such as the winner of Big Brother, who will be X-mas No1, etc, etc. Withdrawals are unlimited, free of charge and received the same day, if not within minutes to Neteller or Moneybookers.
Bonus - £50 freebet!
Pinnacle Sports do not accept US players anymore but for many years they were the number one US bookie. They always had the tightest lines and would not flinch at taking decent sized bets. They still do the same (MLB: 6 cent Money Lines, 8 cent Run Lines) but it is just UK and EU players who can benefit now. They have first rate 24/7 customer service reachable by email only. You are allowed one free payout a month and once requested they are paid within the hour. (Review 05/04/10). No UK customers from Nov 2014.
Established in 1966 and having an internet division since 1999 PAF is truely one of the founding Fathers of Online Sportsbooks. They are a Scandinavian organisation run by the Government and all profits are "spent on the Public good, culture, sports and the social sector". They have a full range of gambling services and have been known to offer generous bonuses in the past. Odds are competitive although markets limited. Customer support is best accessed via E-mail, payments are processed within 48hrs as standard and are always free.
Redbet was founded in 2002 by a group of Swedish entrepreneurs and has been focused on the European gambling market. They do not have 24/7 support however E-mails are responded to within 24hrs and with competant answers. The site has no Horse Racing markets and instead focuses on Soccer with other Sports being added to the range all the time. To deposit by Moneybookers must be done manually but the funds clear instantly. Payouts to moneybookers are charged at 2% and recieved within 24hrs of the request being made as standard. (Review 23/06/10). No sign up bonus at Oct 2013.
RaceBets is a German site that offers traditional Tote style betting on Horse Racing markets from all over the World. They do offer "Ante Post" fixed odds on certain races but only the major ones such as "The Grand National", "The Arc De Triomphe", etc etc. Due to the nature of Tote odds betting the odds fluctuate wildly and there is not always a lot of liquidity so a large bet on a favourite can lead to incredibly poor returns whilst conversely a small bet on an outsider can pay well over the SP. Payments are very swift and back to Moneybookers within 24hrs as standard.
Bonus: £100 cash 6x wagering - code is "welcome"
Partybets is part of the Partypoker group. They offer a wide range of markets but have quite poor odds on most. There is 24/7 customer support, E-mail response is quick and the telephone support is freephone. They offer a large range of deposit and withdrawal options. Before a withdrawal will be processed it is likely you will receive a phone call from them wanting to verify every detail you told them when signing up. It can take a day or two for them to process withdrawals but once they have, money is received fairly quickly and free of charge. (Also see Gamebookers)
PulseBet is a bookmaker with a UK office registered in Surrey but they in fact have Romanian owners and that is the true base for the operation. There is several dubious things about the site and the chances of being paid, one is the own brand software leaves up incredibly high "arbs" on fast moving markets which is not sustainable. There is also the fact that they actively accept and target US wagers and so are always under threat because of that too. *Closed early 2012*
