Fulltilt Poker opened its doors in 2004 and has grown to be one of the largest independant Poker sites on the internet. At peak times there can be up to 60,000 tournament players so you are always sure to get the game you want. The software is good but the use of "Cartoony" Avatars can be offputting. Fortunately it is possible to disable them if you want. Accounts are held in $s and payments take around 48hrs to be recieved at Moneybookers, there is a $10 min deposit and $50 min payout amount. New users can enter code "TGTPoker" and be eligible for up to $600 in bonus money. (May 2010)
PKR is a Poker room which has unique own brand software with 3D animated graphics which are the best in the business by a long way. The software does take a LONG time to load and takes up a LOT of memory because of this. They have a range of bonuses but nothing to stand out from the crowd, and payouts are quick but again not instant and most sites take similar times, 24hrs is standard.
DoylesRoom offers both Poker and Casino to its customers. They will call you within 48hrs of registering to check everything is OK and confirm your ID. They are part of the "Cake" Network and linked to a number of other Poker rooms sharing players. A BIG positive is the simple and effective RakeBack scheme we have negotiated, when you join enter code "TGTRakeback" and 33% of any rake you pay will be returned directly to your player account as cash. So the more you play the more they pay!
Noxwin is "No frills" Poker site that does exactly what it says on the tin, we rate it so highly because it is just that. The software is easy to download and quick to install. It is hard to fault them, they have good customer support and excellent payout times which are always free to all methods.
Poker Heaven is a Boss Media powered site and payments are handled by "Webdollar" meaning you are sent a PIN number in the post which is needed before large transfers are allowed. The software is actually the best we have played at for ease of use and nice features. The customer service can be slow and send C+P answers which dont actually "answer" anything though. As long as you dont need any support they are highly recommended and payments are made within hours of being requested. (May 2010)
The World
Series of Poker (WSOP) is the most trusted name in poker having been
around since 1970 and awarding more than $1 billion in prize money. Online,
WSOP.com offers the opportunity
to play online poker games including: tournaments, satellites, cash and
play for fun games. It also keeps you connected to the game with the
latest poker news, player information, historical results and live
tournament coverage. WSOP.com is powered by Casava Enterprises and is part of the 888.com Group. (May 2010)
UltimateBet has been around for over 10 Years and in that time has had a chequered past marred with a software rigging scandal. They have changed and improved since but despite a huge advertising budget and top sponsorships they still dont really cut the mustard with slow and outdated software and only average payout speeds and support. (May 2010)
PokerOcean is the sister site of TitanPoker, both using Playtech software and sharing the same accounts department and customer service staff. They have the usual range of promotions and bonuses but nothing stands out to put them ahead of the rest. They are a solid site and one of the better Playtech operators. (May 2010)
