Warrington Wolves' Head Coach Tony Smith - RealTime Images

Super League is back in force this week following the World Club Series. The game in the Northern Hemisphere received a shot in the arm thanks to famous wins for Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves over Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and Brisbane Broncos respectively.

We give you a run down of every game from this weekend’s action including an exclusive run through of all the odds with Super League sponsors BetFred and their man Pete Spencer.

Hull FC v Catalans – Thursday – 20:00

Hull FC’s home clash with Catalans Dragons on Thursday kicks off proceedings, a traditionally been a high-scoring affair. The Dragons have always scored points aplenty in East Yorkshire, but it has been the Black and Whites that have emerged with victories. Lee Radford’s men opened their campaign with a 12-8 success over Wakefield and you would not bet against them maintaining their 100 per cent record. New signing Jake Connor is expected to deputise at half-back for the suspended Albert Kelly. Iain Thornley will come in for injured outside back Fouad Yaha while Louis Anderson also returns for the Dragons.

MATCH ODDS: Hull 2/7 Draw 25/1 Catalans 3/1
TGT SAYS:
Hull to win by 8
BETFRED SAYS: Catalans have had a good start, but most of the money we have seen has been for Hull in this one.

Warrington v Castleford – Friday 20:00

The pick of Friday’s games sees Warrington play host to highly-fancied Castleford Tigers. It will be a stern test for Daryl Powell’s men, especially considering the performance of the Wolves in Saturday’s dominant win over Brisbane. The kicking game will be crucial and the prospect of Kevin Brown take on Luke Gale will be a mouth-watering prospect. Wolves boss Tony Smith has named an unchanged squad to that which toppled the Broncos 27-18. Castleford make one change to the team that defeated Leigh, with youngster Luke Million filling in for the suspended Paul McShane.

MATCH ODDS: Warrington 4/9 Draw 25/1 Castleford 15/8
TGT SAYS:
Warrington by 8
BETFRED SAYS: Massive game and we have had lots of interest and we have seen a lot of money come in for Warrington, but Castleford are the dark horses and this could be a spectacular one.

Wigan v Widnes – Friday 20:00

Champions Wigan Warriors are on top of the world following their enthralling 22-6 triumph over the Sharks. Winger Joe Burgess, back at the club after a year in the NRL, was the hero for the Warriors with a sublime hat-trick of tries. Wigan head coach Shaun Wane will recall Willie Isa against his old club. Widnes have had two weeks to mull over their opening week loss to Huddersfield. The Vikings did win twice at the DW Stadium in 2016, although they have a mammoth task in making it three in a row at the home of the Warriors.

MATCH ODDS: Wigan 1/7 Draw 40/1 Widnes 5/1
TGT SAYS:
Wigan by 14
BETFRED SAYS: Could be a question of how many, and we have the handicap at -16 for them which is 10/11. Which is popular.

Leigh v St Helens – Friday 20:00

Leigh will be hoping to get their season up and running against local rivals St Helens. While the Centurions suffered a narrow home defeat to Leeds last week Saints opened their campaign with a hard-fought win against the men from Headingley. Leigh showed plenty of heart against the Rhinos, but came up just short in a 17-14 loss. Leigh boss Neil Jukes has named Australian forward Lachlan Burr and on loan Curtis Naughton in his 19-man squad. St Helens head coach Kieron Cunningham welcomes back Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Jack Owens for the short trip to the Leigh Sports Village.

MATCH ODDS: Leigh 11/4 Draw 33/1 St Helens 3/10
TGT SAYS:
Saints by 12
BETFRED SAYS: St Helens are strong favourites here and there has been very little interest in Leigh, people have clearly been disappointed by them. People are liking Saints at -10 at 10/11

Leeds v Salford – Friday 20:00

Leeds Rhinos will be hoping to make it back-to-back victories after edging past Leigh last Friday. The Rhinos looked back to their best in the opening 40 minutes at Leigh, but were left hanging on at the end. Coach Brian McDermott will be hoping for better ball control and game management against a Salford Red Devils side buzzing after beating Huddersfield last time out. Leeds welcome back Joel Moon and Mitch Garbutt while Salford will be without suspended winger Justin Carney for contact with referee James Child in their 30-20 triumph over the Giants.

MATCH ODDS: Leeds 1/3 Draw 25/1 Salford 5/2
TGT SAYS:
Leeds by 10
BETFRED SAYS: Clearly Leeds are favourites but we have seen some interest in Salford – clearly the Salford fans fancy their chances this season.

Huddersfield v Wakefield – Friday 20:00

Huddersfield have a chance to atone for their below-par showing against the Red Devils when Wakefield Trinity visit in Friday’s action-packed programme. Giants head coach Rick Stone will be looking for an improved display from his charges as the teem seek to winning ways. They will be again without Tom Symonds, after he was ruled out of action for six weeks following a knee operation. Stone is crossing his fingers Dale Ferguson, skipper Leroy Cudjoe and England winger Jermaine McGillvary overcome knocks. Trinity boss Chris Chester will want his team to regain the form that helped them secure an impressive top-eight finish in 2016. Matty Ashurst and Anthony England are both named in Chester’s squad after picking up knocks Hull FC.

MATCH ODDS: Huddersfield 4/11 Draw 28/1 Wakefield 5/1
TGT SAYS:
Giants by 8
BETFRED SAYS: This is a clause one to call, Huddersfield are favourites but people are keen on Wakefield to get something.
