Man City complete record Laporte deal

Manchester City have completed the club record signing of defender Aymeric Laporte.

The 23-year-old has completed his £57million move from Athletic Bilbao.

Bookmakers closed their markets on Laporte over the weekend, and now the deal has been finalised.

“I am looking forward to working under manager Pep Guardiola and trying to help the club to achieve success,” Laporte told the Man City website.

“It means a lot that the club have shown faith in me and I am excited to get started.”
