The qualifying for Euro 2020 begins on Thursday night with the likes of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Belgium – who are one of the favourites to win the title – all in action.
The Scottish are led again by Alex McLeish but they face a tricky looking task away in Kazakhstan in their Group I opener.
Elsewhere in Scotland’s group, the favourites are Belgium but they also face a tough challenge as they host Russia. Also in the group Cyprus host minnows San Marino.
Northern Ireland’s recent up-turn sees them as one of the favourites for Group C and they will be hopeful of winning their opening clash against Estonia at Windsor Park. Also in Group C, Holland host Belarus.
Also on Thursday, World Cup finalists Croatia get their campaign underway at home at Azerbaijan.
