Bookmakers are backing Odion Ighalo to find the back of the net at Manchester United.

The former Watford striker made a shock return to the Premier League on transfer deadline day when he joined United on-loan for the rest of the season from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

The 30-year-old was delighted to make the move to Old Trafford.

“It’s a dream come true because since I was a kid I followed and dreamt of Manchester United,” Ighalo said.

“But it is a reality now. I cannot say much more now until I get started. It’s been crazy. Obviously, I am happy to be in Manchester first of all.

“This is a great opportunity for me and I am grateful to God, and to my agent, and the coach who has given me this opportunity to be here.”

Bookmakers believe that he will score between 5 or 6 goals.

“Manchester United will be hoping Odion Ighalo can fill in for Marcus Rashford in the short term by scoring the goals they need to push up the table,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Our betting suggests he is like to find the back of the net on 5 or 6 occasions in the Premier League this season.”
