After Jose Mourinho admitted the title was probably over after his Manchester United side lost to rivals Manchester City on Sunday – the Bookmakers and Punters certainly agree.

Mourinho was also asked if the title race was over and replied: “Probably, yes. Manchester City are a very good team and they are protected by the luck, and the gods of football are behind them.”

PaddyPower was the first Bookmaker to close their doors on Manchester City bets last week, but others have now followed suit including Manchester-based BetFred.

For those Bookmakers still taking bets, most are 1/25 with some even 1/50 – which is just over 98% probability that it will happen.

BetVictor’s Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt commented: “Manchester City ran out 2-1 winners over rivals United at Old Trafford and already appear to have one hand on the title as they stretch their lead at the summit to eleven points.
