Liverpool host Roma in the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

Both Liverpool and Roma caused upsets in the quarter-finals, defeating the previous two favourites – Manchester City and Barcelona respectively.

Now odds-on to make the final, Jurgen Klopp is refusing to gt too excited about the prospect of making the final in Kiev.

“We do this for Liverpool, I really don’t like to talk about [winning the trophy] before we have played it. We have to talk about this game with Roma, not what it would mean if we go through,” said Klopp.

Klopp also insists that he knows all about Roma and what they have to offer.

“I watch quite a lot of Italian football to be honest. I know Edin Dzeko from Germany and I am not surprised by Roma,” he added.

“The quality in their team and squad is a lot. They made seven or eight changes from the last game, so that is a big advantage for them.  They have a full squad available and all of them are good.

“They have clear options up front and in midfield, they all look settled, fit and experienced. or them, like us, semi-finals are a big thing.”

Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco is happy that his plans are in place to face Liverpool.

“Liverpool are a side of great quality. The first leg is away from home and that can be an advantage, but also makes it very difficult to prepare tactically,” he saod.

“I know the starting eleven, it’s all planned, but I won’t tell you. I can say that Edin Dzeko will play.”
