Claude Puel is the new firm leader in the Premier League sack race, after a losing start to the new Premier League season.
The Leicester City boss was under pressure last season, and many were surprised when he was kept on to go into the new season.
However, after losing to Manchester United in the opening game – already rumours are abound that Leicester are looking at the Belgian management team of Roberto Martinez and Thierry Henry.
Watford boss Javi Gracia had begun the season as favourite for the chop, but now Puel is heading the market following the reports about his future.
BetVictor have now cut his odds to 5/2 and he is now heading the race.
BetVictor’s Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt commented: “Leicester may have suffered a narrow 2-1 reverse at Manchester United on the opening day but did enough in that game to perhaps suggest they will still be challenging for a top half finish rather than been involved with matters at the bottom. Manger Claude Puel however is still proving popular in our next manager to go market, clipped into 5/2 from 3/1 after support.
“Many supporters had begun to turn on the French man last term but keeping Harry Maguire in the transfer window looked to have certainly helped in the fight to win them back. With rumours of replacements already lined up and further money today there is usually no smoke without fire and we will be watching developments with increasing interest.”
