West Brom boss Alan Pardew is hanging onto his job at The Hawthorns despite only being appointed in November.

Pardew has won just one Premier League game in 13, and The Baggies are seven points adrift of safety and they were dumped out of the FA Cup on Saturday as Southampton won at The Hawthorns.

And off-the-field things have been going from bad to worse for Pardew. The club sacked John Williams as chairman and Martin Goodman as chief executive – the two men who appointed him and Chinese owner Guochuan Lai is looking closely at his manager.

Pardew admits the upheavel above his head is a worry, and said: “They’re good people and I was disappointed if I’m honest.”

Then that was followed up by an incident on the club’s mini-break to Barcelona this week when Jonny Evans, Gareth Barry, Jake Livermore and Boaz Myhill were accused of stealing a taxi, and the four have since apologised.

“This is obviously not ideal. They broke the curfew and that’s unacceptable and I feel a bit let down by that,” said Pardew.
