Ancelotti open to English return

Carlo Ancelotti is open to returning to England, with both the Arsenal and Everton jobs in his sights.

Sources close to the Italian believe the 60-year-old would like to take on the challenge and have another crack at the Premier League.

The Toffees are very keen on Ancelotti, who has only just departed his most recent role with Napoli.

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri desires a big name boss and Ancelotti ticks that box, but chairman Bill Kenwright and director of football Marcel Brands are considering other names including former manager David Moyes.

Ancelotti is also in the reckoning for the Arsenal role, and the Gunners are considering him – which is not a surprise given his CV which includes Juventus, AC Milan, PSG, Bayern Munich and their capital rivals Chelsea.

However, Arsenal are looking at their options and former players Mikel Arteta, currently assistant at Manchester City, and Patrick Vieira, currently Nice boss, are the leading candidates.
