Arsenal 10/1 for top-four finish but Wenger still hopeful

Arsenal are now a massive 10/1 to finish in the top-four and their quest to return to the top-ranks of the Premier League look over for another season.

The Gunners went down 1-0 at arch-rivals Tottenham on Saturday, and they are now seven points adrift of  them.

The best chance of Champions League next season for Arsene Wenger’s side is now via the Europa League – but the Arsenal boss insists he wants to do it via the Premier League.

“The priority remains being in the Champions League (qualification places) through the Premier League,” Wenger said.

“I am not a great fan of the Europa League winner qualifying for the Champions League – I think it is not right. If it is an opportunity we have to try to take it as well, but the priority remains the Premier League.”

BetVictor have now doubled their odds, they started the weekend at 5/1 but now following defeat at Wembley they have stretched to 10/1.

BetVictor’s Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt said: “The top-four is a popular market and Arsenal have been well backed but games starting to run out now.”
