Arsenal were handed a favourable Europa League draw in the round of the last 32 and they are now only behind favourites Atletico Madrid in the betting.
Atletico have dropped into Europe’s second competition after failing to progress in the Champions League, and it is little surprise Diego Simeone’s men are rated as favourites.
Atletico’s favourtism has also been helped by the fact they have drawn Danish outfit FC Copenhagen. Arsenal also landed Scandinavian opposition with Swedish side Oestersunds – who are managed by Englishman Graham Potter.
Celtic also find themselves in the Europa League, but their odds eased after pulling out a tough looking draw in the shape of Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg.
BetVictor’s Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt said: “Arsenal have shortened to 5/1 from 6/1 for the Europa League following a kind draw with Swedish minnows Oestersunds. Celtic ease to 80/1 from 66/1 after been drawn against Russian giants Zenit .
“Atletico Madrid remain 4/1 favourites and face Copenhagen.”
