Arsenal are the new favourites across the board for the FA Cup after they claimed a hard fought 2-0 win at Sutton United.
The Conference National side gave a great account of themselves but went behind in the first half to a Lucas Perez cross-come-shot which found the corner of the net.
At the start of the second-half, England international Theo Walcott bagged the second goal to seal Arsenal’s passage.
Arsenal will now face another non-league team in the quarter-finals as they welcome cup slayers Lincoln City to The Emirates – following their famous win at Burnley on Saturday.
As a result Arsenal are now as low as 11/4 favourites with bet365 for the tournament win – indeed they are top of the betting with every bookmaker.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was pleased with his side’s performance and paid tribute to Sutton.
“We did the job. It’s very different on this kind of pitch. It was not an easy game, at all. We have to give them [Sutton] credit,” he said.
One thing Wenger may not of been too pleased with was some banners in the away end, calling for him to quit the club at the end of the season.
