Arsenal odds on Mahrez deal shorten

Arsenal’s odds on signing Riyad Mahrez have shortened after Arsene Wenger admitted he ‘could’ make a move for the Leicester City ace.

The 26-year-old Algerian international, who was Player of the Year in England in 2016, has told The Foxes he is ready to leave.

French champions Monaco are favourites to land him whilst we understand Paris Saint Germain remain keen, but Arsenal are also looking likely bidders.

“We have not made a bid, but personally, I like the player, yes,” Wenger told beIN Sports. “I think he made a huge impact when they won the championship.

“Like at everybody else at Leicester, this season has been more challenging, but it doesn’t take away from his qualities. Have we made a bid for him? No. Not yet. No, we have not. When I say ‘not yet’ it means it could happen. It might not happen.”

Arsenal’s odds to land Mahrez have now been cut with SkyBet listing him at 7/4 to move to The Emirates.
