Barcelona believe they have all but tied up a deal for French star Antoine Griezmann.

Atletico Madrid insist that he has not agreed to leave, but he has admitted that his future will be resolved before the World Cup finals this summer..

26-year-old Griezmann is widely understood to be pushing for a move to Barca, and sources close to the Catalan giants feel a deal is all but done to take him to the Nou Camp in the summer.

“My future will be decided before the World Cup. I want to go to Russia with my mind free of concerns, and I think that is also what everyone else wants too,” Griezmann told L’Equipe..

“It’s not the question of knowing where I’ll play that is the most troublesome, but more the fact that you get called all the time and are being asked: ‘So, what do you think of that? Do you want this? Or that?’

“I have told my sister [Maud, who represents him] that, whether I stay or don’t stay, it has to be sorted out before.”

However, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo believes Griezmann wants to stay.

“Griezmann has a contract and cannot sign with another team, these are facts,” he told Spanish newspaper AS.

“He has not told me at all about wanting to move away so it would surprise me a lot of this was his desire. What is certain and what I can tell you is that he is under contract and this means no other team can sign him without our permission, and it is a long contract.

“We should not be nervous about this, I believe he is happy and wants to continue to play for Atletico beyond this season.”

Bookmakers also believe Griezmann’s deal is all but done, and Barca are now odds-on to land the French international.
