Bayern pushing to land Callum Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich are pushing hard to land Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi this month.

18-year-old Hudson-Odoi has just 18-months left on his current deal, and Stamford Bridge chiefs are working hard to convince him to extend his contract.

However, there are a number of sides looking to prise him away – Bayern and RB Leipzig are leading the chase, but it is also understood Monaco, Roma and Inter Milan are keen – as well as Manchester City and Arsenal on a domestic front.

Bayern are believed to be leading the chase, and currently have a deal worth £35million on the table with Chelsea – a fourth bid of the summer.

However, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri insists he is ready to give Hudson-Odoi more game time.

“He is ready I think,” Sarri said. “Of course we have very important players in the same position so you want Willian on the bench I think? Pedro? I can play with only two wingers I think. Three wingers is more difficult, but now he is ready. He can play.

“Of course some time he will be on the bench, but the same as Willian and Pedro. I can start to consider him on the same level.

“He is very young, but now he is improving. He is improving, especially in the defensive phase. He played really very well in the last match. He was in trouble against Watford, but only because he had a problem in his hamstring.

“He is improving and I am very happy with him. I don’t know the situation with the club, but for me he is an important player.”

Coral has Hudson-Odoi odds on at 4.11 to leave Chelsea this month for Bayern.

“Chelsea don’t seem keen to let Hudson-Odoi leave, especially after his man of the match display over the weekend, but if he doesn’t sign a new deal it might leave the Blues with no choice but to cash,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

“Every young player at Chelsea seems to have a price and we make the winger odds on to be leaving this month to join Bayern.”
