Betfred Super League Weekend Preview

Super League leaders St Helens face a trip to Hull this weekend, whilst Warrington in second travel to third placed Castleford.

Wigan Warriors vs London Broncos

Match odds: Wigan 1/20, London 9/1, Tie 40/1

Betfred says: All eyes for the opener will be on whether Wigan can build upon their narrow win against Castleford last time out. It’s bottom club Broncos for them on Thursday, at the DW, so expect a thumping home win by 30 pts.

Castleford Tigers vs Warrington Wolves

Match odds: Castleford 7/4, Warrington 1/2, Tie 22/1

Betfred says: The first of four Friday games is undoubtedly the game of the round as second-placed Warrington visit The Jungle. Wolves are in fine fettle, and look the most viable challengers to Saints’ domination thus far, but The Tigers are no pushovers and don’t be surprised if they pull off narrow win by 4pts.

Huddersfield Giants vs Wakefield Trinity

Match odds: Huddersfield 8/11, Wakefield 5/4, Tie 18/1

Betfred says: Wakefield have raised eyebrows with their form of late and will relish the chance to pick up both points at Huddersfield, who were heavily beaten at Warrington last weekend, so expect a Trinity win by 10pts.

Hull FC vs Catalans Dragons

Match odds: Hull FC 1/3, Catalans 5/2, Tie 22/1

Betfred says: Hull FC are riding high in third at the moment and will want to keep the pressure on the top two. They should put The Dragons to the sword at home here, with a win by 12pts.

Salford Red Devils vs Leeds Rhinos

Match odds: Salford 8/11, Leeds 5/4, Tie 20/1

Betfred says: The final game on Friday sees Salford host Leeds. The Rhinos are slowly getting their act together but Salford will be looking to make home advantage tell and could well win by 6pts against the old enemy.

Hull KR vs St Helens

Match odds: Hull KR 4/1, Saints 2/11, Tie 22/1

Betfred says: In the final game of the round, on Sunday, the Betfred Super League leaders and by far the outstanding performers, St Helens, visit lowly Hull KR. The question here has to be – can Saints clock up 50pts like they did last week at Catalans? It wouldn’t be a surprise, so we’re going to say a win by 30pts.
