Bookmakers have now closed the market on Chelsea boss Antonio Conte not being in charge of the club next season.
We revealed earlier this month that Conte was on his way out of the club, and Chelsea already know who they want.
Now after another failure at the weekend, with a home draw against relegation contenders West Ham United, a top-four place looks highly unlikely – as they are now ten points adrift with just six games remaining.
Conte was already odds-on not to be in charge next season but now Coral have closed their book after taking further money when he was already 1/5.
“This latest activity in the betting suggests to us that Antonio Conte won’t be at Chelsea next season, whether that is through the Italian walking away from the club or after being dismissed,” said Coral’s John Hill.
Coral is betting on who will be the next permanent Chelsea manager in which Luis Enrique is the 6-4 favourite. Massimiliano Allegri is second best in the betting at 9-2, while Carlo Ancelotti is 7-1 to return to Chelsea.
“There is no shortage of big names at the top of the next Chelsea manager betting with former Barcelona treble winning boss Luis Enrique topping the list ahead of Massimiliano Allegri and Carlo Ancelotti,” added Hill.
