One Bookmaker has already decided to pay out on Floyd Mayweather beating Conor McGregor.

PaddyPower has made the move which has seen a £250,000 pay-out to those customers who are backing the American to win.

Mayweather remains a very short price favourite to win, but his odds have drifted as all Bookmakers are reporting huge interest in Irishman McGregor.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “We’re spinning the roulette wheel a bit here – as getting it wrong would see a serious Mac Attack on my bank balance.

“But, when you’re backing Mayweather, you’ve basically covered the whole board anyway.

“Patriotism aside, we are paying out early on a Mayweather victory – because we checked, and only one of them is a boxer. We always bet on black.”

The fight is due to be the biggest betting event in history with the industry already reporting record breaking numbers but that is expected to be doubled in the build-up to the fight.

It is more than three times the size of the next biggest boxing market, when Mayweather fought Manny Pacquiao in 2015, and by far the bookie’s biggest event of the year.
