Bookmakers are backing Frank De Boer to have some form of success at Crystal Palace, believing that he will at least see out a full season at Selhurst Park.
Palace confirmed the appointment of De Boer on Monday, as the man to follow on from Sam Allardyce – after he stepped down at the end of the season.
De Boer returns to management after a brief stint with Inter Milan last season which saw him lose his job after less than three-months, following a hugely successful time in charge of Ajax.
Bookmakers now make him odds-on to spend the entire season with bet365 listing him 4/9 to to still be in charge by next summer.
“Palace have gone down a different route with this managerial appointment, and although it didn’t work out for him in Italy, we’re odds-on about de Boer being around for a season at least,” bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth confirmed.
The Eagles are 3/1 for a top half finish, 14/1 to end the campaign in the Top 6, 9/2 to be relegated and 4/9 to finish above newcomers Brighton.
