England have now played their final friendly before boss Gareth Southgate names his squad for the World Cup finals.
Southgate is now mulling over who will make his 23-man squad, but Bookmakers already believe they know who will make the flight.
And now some are predicting who will be in Southgate’s starting XI for their opening clash with Tunisia on June 18th in Volgograd.
The bookies make Jordan Pickford favourite to start in goal, while the odds Southgate will opt for a back three with wing backs, and one striker.
John Stones, Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker are favoured to make-up the back-three, with Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose as the full-backs.
Eric Dier and captain Jordan Henderson are then backed to hold the midfield behind Dele Alli and Raheem Sterling – with Harry Kane leading the line.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s no surprise to see Kane so short to start England’s first game, but the latest odds suggest Walker will be trusted in a back three while Trippier gets the nod out wide.”
“There’s no room for the likes of Bertrand, Lingard, Rashford or Vardy, who have just over two months to make a case.”
