Bookmakers have closed their markets on Ousmane Dembele joining Barcelona – after the Frenchman refused to report for training.
Barca are trying to sign Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Dembele, but have now seen bids rejected for both.
The pair have made it known to their respective clubs that they want to leave, but whilst Coutinho is refusing to go to war with Liverpool, the same cannot be said of Dembele.
Dortmund head coach Peter Bosz has confirmed that Dembele did not show up at training, and it is understood he is heading the Spain – where he will await to be given permission to talk with Barca.
The 20-year-old has now been suspended by Dortmund, but Bookmakers believe he is set to sign for the Catalans and they have pulled their markets.
Ladbrokes had been 4/11 on Dembele going before he went AWOL.
Callum Bunce of Ladbrokes said: “Dembele couldn’t have made his intentions any clearer with his recent actions, and the money suggests it’s surely only a matter of time before the club let go of their prized asset.”
