Canaries and Blades backed for Prem survival

Norwich City and Sheffield United have sealed promotion to the Premier League and Bookmakers have already priced up their survival chances.

The Canaries and The Blades will both be in the top-flight next season after sealing a top-two finish, and Norwich now just need one point to seal the title.

But Norwich boss Daniel Farke is delighted to have sealed their place in the Premier League.

“We rocked this league. Now we have an opportunity to play in the best league in the world,” he said.

United were promoted after Leeds’ failure to beat Aston Villa and their boss Chris Wilder was equally delighted.

“It’s one of the greatest days of my life, 100%, to see us back in the Premier League is truly incredible,” he said.

“What a day to be a Blade. Next season will be a fabulous experience for everyone involved.”

Now Bookmakers are pricing up their chances.

The Canaries are 2000/1 to win the Premier League, 10/1 for a top half finish, Evens to be relegated and 8/11 to avoid the drop next season.

bet365’s Steve Freeth said: “Daniel Farke’s side were hardly on the tip of people’s tongues when they were talking about promotion candidates in pre-season.

“However, smart recruitment and good management has seen them return to the top flight and they may surprise a few people next season as well.”

The Blades are 2500/1 to win the Premier League, 12/1 for a top half finish, 4/6 to be relegated and 11/10 to avoid the drop during the 2019/20 campaign.
