Carabao Cup Tuesday Preview

The Carabao Cup third round sees all the Premier League enter the fray, and Tuesday sees holders Manchester City begin the defence of their title.

City have dominated the EFL Cup in recent years with four wins in the last six years and this year they are looking to become the first team since Liverpool in the 1980s to win it three-years in succession.

City 2019/20 challenge begins at Preston North End, in what could be a tricky tie.

Elsewhere, Arsenal host Championship Nottingham Forest whilst Tottenham travel to Essex to face Colchester United.

Arguably the tie of the round takes place on the South Coast with a huge derby as Portsmouth host Southampton. Another clash on the South Coast sees Crawley Town host Stoke City.

Leicester and Everton both travel to Championship sides in the shape of Luton and Sheffield Wednesday respectively. Watford also face Championship opposition as they welcome Swansea to Vicarage Road.

We run through every game including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray, our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and BoyleSports’ Lawrence Lyons.
