Scottish champions Celtic have seen their title odds cut after their weekend loss at Kilmarnock, which was coupled with a victory for rivals Rangers.
Celtic are odds-on to win their eighth successive title, but Steven Gerrard’s Gers are closer than ever in the betting – although both are still some way off early pace-setters Hearts.
Hearts are on 16 points, five ahead ahead of Rangers in second and one further better than that of Celtic – who find themselves in sixth place.
Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that the club’s fans should be worried..
“When you are a huge club, the demand is to win,” said Rodgers.
“In the last couple of years we’ve done that really well and playing in a style that is synonymous with the club. It hasn’t been the same but we have to work to make it better.
“It’s a poor result for us but we have to go away now and take our medicine and get ready for Wednesday [a Scottish League Cup quarter-final trip to St Johnstone].”
Asked if the club’s fans should be alarmed, Rodgers replied: “Yes I think they should.”
Celtic have now been eased to 1/4 by BetVictor. whilst Rangers have been cut to 5/1.
