Celtic are demanding in excess of £20million for left-back Kieran Tierney.
Arsenal made a move for the Scottish international defender earlier this month, but have seen a couple of bids rejected.
Sources close to the situation have told us that Celtic are expecting offers of over £20million – which is the basic level they will start talking.
As it stands Arsenal are the only bidders, but there is and has been interest from elsewhere – including Leicester and Newcastle.
Leicester would like to take Tierney, should they lose Ben Chilwell this summer – whist Newcastle have expressed an interest, but are currently manager-less and subject of a takeover bid, making a move difficult.
Arsenal’s arch-rivals Tottenham have also kept tabs on Tierney regularly over the past 12-months – and The Gunners are worried about rival interest in the player.
Tierney himself is believed to be keen on a switch South of the Border, and is hopeful a deal will be progressed in the coming days.
Bookmakers firmly of the belief that Arsenal will land Tierney and PaddyPower make them 1/7, with Leicester at 10/1.
