Champions League last 16 Wednesday Preview

Reigning champions Real Madrid continue their quest for a third title on Wednesday with Liverpool also in first leg action in Portugal.

Jurgen Klopp takes his side to Porto for their first match in the knockout stages since 2009 but he is insistent that his side are in it to win it and can compete with anyone.

“Now we have to show that we are not only part of the competition, we are quite ambitious. That is how it is and we have to take it seriously,” said Klopp.

Despite being on for a third title, the pressure is on Real boss Zinedine Zidane after a in-different campaign but he is insisting he is not thinking about his future.

“There will always be pressure here, it’s something habitual, but I’m going to keep enjoying myself,” said Zidane.

“Right now I’m not thinking about my future. I’m only thinking about the game as it’s the only thing we can control so we’re focusing on preparing for the game and we’ll see what happens.”
