Defending champions Liverpool are looking to seal their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League on Tuesday – but they could still be knocked out.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in pole position to win Group E and will go through with a draw, indeed they would even be through if they lost and Napoli lost at Genk. However, a Napoli win and Salzburg defeat of Liverpool by a better score-line than they lost at Anfield (4-3) and the English giants would go out.

In Group H, Chelsea will guarantee themselves progress if they beat Lille – who are already out, but if they only draw they could go out, if Valencia beat Ajax. A win for Chelsea, and Valencia would need to beat Ajax to go through, and then Dutch giants would be out.

Group of Death, Group F, has already seen Barcelona progress with the final spot going to either Inter Milan or Borussia Dortmund. If  Dortmund beat Slavia Prague then Inter would need to beat Barca to progress.

Group G is also to play for with Leipzig, Lyon and Zenit all on contention to go through.

If Leipzig win at Lyon, they win the group but a win for Lyon sends them through. For Zenit to go through, they need to beat Benfica and hope Lyon do not win.
