Chelsea march to title continues

Champions-elect Chelsea continued their imperious form with a 2-1 win over capital rivals West Ham United which extends their lead at the top-of-the-table back to ten points.

Antonio Conte’s men have lost just once since October, and they rarely looked like heading for another one during their visit to the Olympic Park.

Chelsea were ahead after 25 minutes at the London Stadium with Eden Hazard finishing off an excellent counter-attacking move.

West Ham were not without chances, but they could not find an equaliser and just after the break, Diego Costa found himself unmarked from a corner and finished from close-range.

Into injury time and Manuel Lanzini pulled one back for the home side, but it was too little too late and proved a mere consolation for Slaven Bilic’s men.

With some bookmakers already paying out for Chelsea to win the title, the best odds still available are 1/7 with Betfair.
