Chruchill’s odds for a Derby win have been reduced after he captured the 2000 Guineas.
The overwhelming 6/4 favourite came home by half-a-length to give Aidan O’Brien a record eighth win in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, which is the first flat Classic of the season.
Ridden by Ryan Moore, he broke at a crucial time and lead home Barney Roy (7-2) with Al Wukair (11-2).
Liam Glynn, BoyleSports spokesperson said: “Churchill landed the ante post gamble and provided Aidan O’Brien with a record eighth success in the 2000 Guineas and as a result is now 4/1 from 5/1 to win the Epsom Derby next month.
“O’Brien has a very strong chance of completing the famous 2000 & 1000 Guineas double as he is set to saddle the warm favourite Rhododendron in Sunday’s race.”
