Manchester City are still hopeful they can win the race to land Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean international has just over 12-months left on his current deal at The Emirates, and despite Arsene Wenger’s agreement over a new contract – it remains unlikely that Sanchez will follow suit.

Sources close to the 28-year-old have stated that the former Barcelona and Udinese man was looking to move back to the continent with Bayern Munich and Juventus leading the chase.

However, reports suggest City have not given up on their hopes of landing Sanchez and are ready to make him their highest paid player.

Bookmkaers now list Sanchez at 2/5 to leave Arsenal this summer.  Ladbrokes make Man City 6/4 favourites to land him with Bayern Munich at 2/1.
