Conte demanding Lukaku deal

Inter Milan are refusing to give up on a deal for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, but head coach Antionio Conte is annoyed that they have not yet wrapped up the signing.

Inter made Lukaku their number one target earlier summer, and have opened talks with United – but as yet have been unable to finalise a deal.

Now Conte has confirmed that he is very much wants Lukaku, a player he failed to get whilst at Chelsea.

“You know I like this player. In the past when I was Chelsea’s coach I tried to bring him to Chelsea,” said Conte.

“I consider him an important player for us to have a good improvement but at the same there is a transfer market and we will see what happens.”

We revealed earlier this month that Lukaku was determined to seal his move, as it emerged last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he would not be first choice.

Bookmakers remain convinced the move will happen and BetVictor make it just 1/8 for Inter Milan to be his next club.
