Coolmore dominate Guineas’ fields

The entries for the 2000 and 1000 Guineas have been announced with Aidan O’Brien’s Coolmore horses leading the entries in both.

In the Qipco 2000 Guineas, last season’s top two-year old Churchill is the pick of 11 entries for O’Brien but the brilliant Caravaggio and War Decree also catch the eye.

Saeed Bin Suroor has six entries with his best hope looking like UAE 2000 Guineas winner Thunder Snow.

There are four French entrants with the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner National Defense leading the way.

In the current betting market Churchill is rated at 6/4 with Caravaggio at 6/1.

In the 1000 Guineas and again O’Brien has the leading fancy in the shape of Rhododendron, but close in the betting is Godolphin’s impressive looking Wuheida for Charlie Appleby.

Both Coolmore and Godolphin have eight entries each from the current list of 57.

Betfair are pricing Rhododendron as 5/1 favourite whilst Wuheida is rated next best at 12/1.
