We pick out some the day’s best bets with Betfred – today featuring Darts, Football, Racing and Golf!
We love the darts here at Betfred, and the PDC World Championship is for sure one of the highlights of the Christmas period.
Action continues at the Ally Pally today, with one of the sport’s most unique characters, Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright, taking to the oche at 10pm.
He’s odds-on to beat Noel Malicdem – but the man with many hairstyles is 2/1 to win his Quarter, and 12/1 to win the whole thing.
You can also find all the odds for the upcoming matches, outright prices, quarter betting and more, here.
There’s plenty of racing to enjoy today from Uttoxeter, Southwell, Wolverhampton and Dundalk – but the main attraction is without doubt the Ascot card.
Many of the big name trainers and jockeys feature. Nicky Henderson. Paul Nicholls. Colin Tizzard. Nico De Boinville. Robbie Power. Harry Cobden… you get the picture.
The feature of the day is the Supreme Trial Novices’ Hurdle at 2.30. The four-runner field is headed by Nicky Richards’ exciting Ribble Valley, at 5/6 – ahead of Master Debonair (3/1), McFabulous (11/2) and Time Flies By (7/1).
Oh, and we gave a little tip in the direction of Venetia Williams yesterday. Her only runner (before racing at Exeter was cancelled) was a winning one, and she saddles another three today at Uttoxeter.
I wouldn’t dare put you off any of them.
We also have Middlesbrough hosting Stoke City at the Riverside at 7.45pm.
A huge game for both sides, with The Potters sitting in the relegation zone on 18 points, just two behind Boro on 21. If Stoke, who seem to have turned a bit of a corner over the last month and a bit under Michael O’Neill, win they will at least for now move into slightly calmer waters.
The best bit is, there’s plenty of value whichever way you see the game going – Middlesbrough 19/10, Stoke 6/4, Draw 11/5.
At the halfway stage of the Australian PGA Championship, local hero Adam Scott is bang there on 7-under-par, just a couple of shots off the pace.
The 2013 Masters Champion, and former winner of this event, goes into the weekend as our 15/8 in-play favourite to secure the prestigious prize.
39-year-old Scott has been one of the world’s elite performers for well over a decade, and is beautifully placed to make a run at the glorious RACV Royal Pines Resort, on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
