Daily Betting Brief with Betfred – Dec 30

We pick out some the day’s best bets with Betfred as the Darts World Championship returns.

Semi-finals at the Palace

We’re into the final four of the 2020 PDC World Darts Championship – and both semi-finals take place tonight at the famous Ally Pally.

First up is Peter Wright (11/8) vs Gerwyn Price (4/7) at 7.15pm, followed by Michael van Gerwen (1/7) vs Nathan Aspinall (9/2) at 9pm.

Latest outrights – Van Gerwen 1/2, Price 7/2, Wright 13/2, Aspinall 14/1.

No Christmas hangover on the racing front

As Monday’s go, today’s racing is brilliant – with action throughout the day at LingfieldHaydock and Taunton.

The latter card is the standout, culminating with the 2.25 Listed Mares’ Novice Hurdle. Seven go to post, with jockey-trainer combos such as Nico de Boinville/Nicky Henderson, Harry Cobden/Paul Nicholls and Aidan Coleman/Anthony Honeyabll on show.

Very little separates the top three in the betting – Marie’s Rock (2/1), Silver Forever (5/2) and Deja Vue (11/4) – and you can’t rule out the likes of Queens Cave or Midnights’ Gift (9/1) either.

Nor for football

We all know Christmas is the best time to be a football fan. A game every day? Pretty much.

This time we take a little breather from the Premier League and enjoy some Championship action, as Derby (5/6) host Charlton (10/3) at Pride Park Stadium.

It’s an important game for both sides who sit much closer than they’d like, and maybe imagined, to the danger zone.
