Laurina back over hurdles
Willie Mullins sends popular mare Laurina back over the smaller obstacles for the Quevega Mares Hurdle (Grade 3) at Punchestown this afternoon (1.40).
She started the season chasing, making a very promising reappearance when beating RSA second-favourite Minella Indo by eight lengths – but something has since been amiss.
The 7-year-old has been pulled up the last twice, and Mullins has decided to send her back over hurdles in an attempt to rediscover her spark.
Laurina is 4/5 to beat her four rivals today – and she can be backed at 12/1 to win the Mares’ Hurdle at the Festival next month.
More Champions League action
Last night certainly didn’t disappoint – word to a certain Erling Braut Haaland – and at 8pm this evening we have another two Round of 16 first leg ties to enjoy.
Spurs (13/8) entertain RB Leipzig (7/4) at the creatively-named Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – while Atalanta (7/10) host Valencia (4/1) over in Italy.

Really here? Time to stand up…
Manchester City will be glad to be back in action on the football field tonight, as they take on West Ham in a re-arranged Premier League clash that had originally fallen foul of one of our lovely recent storms.
After all the noise surrounding the Champions League ban, we’ll get an opportunity to gauge where their heads are at, and whether any discernible, defiant message can be relayed to a watching world in terms of their performance.
Real Madrid lie in wait next week, too, so if there’s any hint of a UEFA-battle hangover it needs to be dismissed, and fast. Despite Liverpool’s unassailable lead domestically, there’s still a great deal to be played for in East Manchester.
Starting tonight.
