Benie Des Dieux vs Apple’s Jade

It’s the Galmoy Hurdle at 1.50 Gowran Park this afternoon – and Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott’s super-mares Benie Des Dieux and Apple’s Jade head the market.

Willie Mullins’ charge has finished first past the post in seven of her last eight races, with her only loss coming at the Cheltenham Festival when she had the race at her mercy before falling at the last – while Gordon Elliott’s eleven-time Grade One winner looked a horse gone at the game when losing five in a row, before absolutely bolting up by 17L last time out.

Benie Des Dieux is our 5/6 favourite at present, ahead of Apple’s Jade at 7/4 – and it’s 11/1 bar.

A fascinating, not-to-be-missed renewal.

Liverpool look to extend unbeaten record

They’re 9/2 to do just that, with Jurgen Klopp’s men 4/6 to take their record this season to 22-1-0 – while it’s 29/10 to end a draw.

United’s top-four hopes drifting

It wasn’t the best of Old Trafford nights, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer crossed into the Premier League debit column (architect of 11 wins; but 12 losses too).

Burnley ran out 2-0 winners last night, meaning Manchester United are now 4/1 for a top-four finish, and a yawning 30 points behind age-old rivals Liverpool (which could be 33 after tonight).
